This being our first long road trip together we decided to take it easy and stop at various places along the way to Vancouver. Our first stop was at Osoyoos, Canada's only desert and a protected reserve for various wildlife. While we didn't see many animals, we did enjoy a nice stroll along the boardwalk.

The boardwalk in Osoyoos winds around the landscape. Expect to walk for about 45 minutes and more if you stopped as much as we had to take photos.

You can see many bushes growing in the park. The day we went it was super hot and it felt very dry. Makes sense since this is a desert.

Not sure what this is exactly. If you know please comment below! It is much appreciated.

The desert is next to some vineyards.

There are many of these structures dotting the landscape.

While we didn't see any wildlife we saw what they left behind. This intricate web reminded us that this is a home to many animals. It's possible because of the heat they don't come out until night time.

These are the main buildings for the park, housing the interpretative center as well as the restrooms.

So as indicated in our disclaimer we purchased the Bluedio A wireless headphone during the Prime Day sale on Amazon. And what a deal it was. The normal price for this headphone is normally $50 CAD and we bought it for $16 CAD, which was a steal.

The box that it came in was very sturdy and quite high quality. It was held shut by magnets which is something you don't really see on such a low-end item.

Above you can find an image of the box. In the bottom right corner on the back is a scratch sticker which hides the headphones authenticity code. You can use this code to check on Bluedio's website to see if this is a counterfeit item. Since we bought it from Amazon we were certain it was real.

When you open the box you will find the headphone along with a pouch that has 4 cables. One is the charging cable, the other a male-to-male 3.5mm headphone cable, a y 3.5mm splitter, and another 3.5mm cable that has a remote built in.

Build Quality
The quality is surprisingly good for such a cheap low-end device. The headphone feels solid, but light. Certain parts such as the hinges we are worried about since it is made of plastic. The headband feels good and tight around the head and doesn't feel loose. The headband also can twist which we tried which means it's rather flexible and might be able to be subjected to some abuse.

Audio Quality
The audio quality is acceptable. It certainly isn't as good as other headphones by name brands such as our Sony ones, but for our day-to-day use on the c-train, we didn't really notice the difference. There is, however, a slight hiss from the headphones during silent parts of songs. This, however, isn't noticeable when music is actually playing as it will drown it out.

So overall based on the price we would definitely recommend this headphone. It's cheap and it does exactly what it says it would do. The device pairs up quickly and after using it for a week we haven't had to charge it yet so the battery is phenomenal.

Menyatai has probably one of the best ramen dishes in Calgary with flavorful broth as well as perfectly done noodles. Here are the pictures we got from our trip to this awesome restaurant.

Every once in a while we have to get away from everything. We spent 3 wonderful days here at Emerald Lake in BC getting away from all the troubles in our lives and what an incredible place it was.

A historical building in Field, BC, which was very close to Emerald Lake

Field's Water tower

A local church.

Emerald Lake Lodge where we stayed at.

Our fireplace in our room. There's nothing cozier than creating a fire and cuddling up next to it.

This was a river we explored near the lake.

We spent the evening together checking out Star Trek: The Starfleet Academy Experience and we had an amazing time! K is a pretty big trekkie, but for M this is really her first time learning about Star Trek. Check out our amazing photos below! Live long and prosper.

This is a game to test your phaser skills. We ended up doing pretty good!

Some original movie costume. This was Zefram Cochrane's clothes from the movie First Contact.

A torpedo that was used in The Next Generation.

A Klingon Head. I can't explain his expression. Maybe mildly constipated?
